Going home in an overcrowded,
stuffy bus that crawls like a tortoise;
I see a partially crippled Hausa boy,
who tries to make a living from being a cobbler
leaping home.
Sure you are wondering:
“what is so special about this boy?”
What is so captivating is the genuine smile
spread abroad on his face.
It was then I remembered again that despite the many challenges,
I still have every reason to be thankful,
and so do you.
