Objectives
To greatly increase your chances of winning YouWIN business grant by helping you fine-tune your business idea, breakdown YouWIN questions to make them more easily understandable and make your idea more sellable to YouWIN.
This workshop is designed to:
– Critically review your business idea as well as your current answers to YouWIN questions and then guide you on how best to answer them so that you can be one of the winners of the grant.
You can expect to receive greater clarification on:
- Correct answers to YouWIN questions about expected monthly sales, marketing, previous loans, track records, competitors etc
- The sectors YouWIN concentrates on
- The adequate number of staff expected by YouWIN
- Exactly how much to request for – N10 million or less and
- Other additional information that will increase the chances of winning the grant
– Interact with previous YouWIN awardees so that you can ask questions and get relevant tips to increase your chances of being successful this year.
– Clear your doubts concerning YouWIN and help you understand the way YouWIN operates (stages of application, criteria at different stages and monitoring of business after grant is given to you).

Note that you only need to develop your business idea before coming. At the venue, session VI will be dedicated to allow you quickly answer all the YouWIN questions so that we can review them together before you leave.
Lead Facilitator
Ron Adeyemi Omotunde is a business consultant and entrepreneur with broad experience and outstanding business insight. He is a Founding Director of Ron Boanergers Company, a telecommunications company he manages with his wife, Mosun, in partnership with EMTS (Etisalat Nigeria). He is also the director and principal consultant of Mel Mellis Farm Resources and Agric Consulting Firm.
These two companies have benefited from the YouWIN initiative (YouWIN 2 and YouWIN 3 respectively).
Having being in business for over 10 years, he has trained and mentored several young entrepreneurs using both formal methods and apprenticeship. He has won several awards including the recent award of excellence, in the just concluded MSMEs summit, given to his company, Ron Boanergers Company which reflects his profound and continuing business impact.

About Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWIN) Programme
The YouWIN programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria is jointly implemented by the Federal Ministries of Finance, Youth Development, Communication Technology and Women Affairs & Social Development; with support from the World Bank, UK Department for International Development and the Organized Private Sector.
Since its inception in 2012, close to 4000 Nigerians have been awarded YouWIN grants. Aside the money to start or expand their businesses, awardees are also provided with mentorship to ensure the success of their businesses.
This is the fourth edition of the YouWIN programme. Thousands of Nigerians are receiving millions of naira from the Nigerian government via this programme. Please apply intelligently this year to become one of the lucky YouWIN awardees.
