Larry Page is the man who accidentally stumbled into the multibillion- dollar idea that churned out ‘Google’, which is eyed currently, as the No. 1 Desired Employer by young people.

Unlike the many Internet millionaire dropouts, the founding CEO of Google, Larry Page, had a B. Sc in Computer Engineering but dropped out of his Ph. D program to pursue a greater vision – the creation of the multibillion-dollar enterprise, Google, which was initially called BackRub.

As of today, Larry Page is No. 24 on Forbes’ list of World billionaires and No. 11 in the United States. He also ranks 22nd On Forbes’ list of Powerful People.

In March this year (2011), Forbes reported that the net worth of this founding CEO of Google, Larry Page is $19.8 billion.

He founded Google in 1998 (actually began work on Google in 1996) along with his buddy from Moscow, Sergey Brin who is the current President of Technology at Google.

Larry Page holds a B. Sc in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. He later went for his Ph. D in Stanford University where he wrote the dissertation that led to Google.
