Our Days in UI … our days as Uites

We saw the days of ALUTA, when school management dared not cut off power or water supply.

We lived through the days of SHOOTING STARS who almost turned Unibadan into an American action movie.

We survived when the doctor VC meticulously dissected Unibadan Student's Union and left the unclosed carcass on the surgical table.

We stood firm in the days when TSUNAMI swept away a lot of Uites.

We were, when EFREBOR was every Uites' expectation and JOKUS LUDUS almost became a slang.

We also witnessed when our indomitable soccer team and great debaters brought home trophies year after year.

We saw the days of KOLARIZATION when every Unibadan girl learned to be more cautious.

We all stood up in resistance when the NITE OF RIPPLES almost got lost in the oblivion of NITE OF DECEPTION, so that it returned stronger along with Cultural Nite.

Pre-induction Party

We saw the engineer VC who engineered every corner of the Unibadan community till it became a UI city.

WE, in our days, learnt not to press J on issues like the blood thirsty farmer.

We faced the double-headed lion with a spear

We navigated the mountain paths as a pair

We swam the deepest seas with no fear

We fought fierce dragons and deer

Our lives we did not spare

'till we found our coats of many colors to wear.
